Social Group Volunteer – Bring People Together There are 23,000 visually impaired people in Northamptonshire, many of whom face hidden loneliness. If you love being part of your community and want to make a real difference, this role could be perfect for you. We’re looking for organised, outgoing and enthusiastic volunteer to help run a monthly social group in the county. These friendly meet ups give visually impaired people the chance to connect, enjoy refreshments, hear guest speakers and simply have fun. What you’ll do: • Help organise and run monthly social events • Arrange speakers, day trips, meals and raffles • Welcome attendees and create a warm, inclusive atmosphere

Skills

What you need: • Good organisation and communication skills • Reliability, enthusiasm and a positive attitude • Two character references, a DBS check and attendance at our Sight Awareness & Guide Training What we provide: • Full training • Ongoing support • A rewarding way to build experience and boost your CV Help create spaces where people feel seen, supported and connected.
