The New Street Centre Cafe is looking for a volunteer or a team of volunteers who would be able to cook a community lunch for up to 50 elderly people on a Thursday afternoon. These lunches are put on for elderly people to come along and enjoy some lovely hot, home cooked meals.
The menu consists of a main meal, dessert and we also provide teas and coffees.
The role will include:
- Creating menu ideas,
- Writing shopping lists
- Buying ingredients.
- Prepping the food ready to serve on a Thursday at 12pm.
- Serving.
Our lunches are very popular as its a lovely nice warm space for people to come and meet new friends as well as meet up with their old friends.
