A brief knowledge of: • Be aware of signs and symptoms of abuse and know the reporting procedures to follow if they have concerns. • Work to the groups governing document. • Attend and participate in meetings. • Contribute to the setting vision and ethos and writing of policies. • Assist in the recruitment new committee members/trustees. • Contribute to recruiting staff using safer recruitment practices - develop a job description, assist with interviews, obtain references and DBS Checks. • Make sure ongoing employment functions are dealt with such as national insurance, tax, pension, TUPE, redundancy, flexible working rights, statutory holiday entitlement, maternity leave. • Ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to including Environmental Health, appropriate insurance is in place and financial and legal requirements are met. • Have an awareness of the financial position of the setting.

Skills

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.

When do I need to be available?

Availability Details

You will be able to work from home mostly on any projects you are assisting with. We hold quarterly meetings at preschool or local spaces but occasionally we do them online. Times for meetings are done to suit the majority and working from home can be done at any time that suits you best.
