Front of House Person in Takeaway Buffet

Serving customers in a prompt & pleasant manner from a simple takeaway buffet in newly refurbished static train carriage at local heritage railway.

Activities:-

• To prepare buffet for opening, ie set up cake displays, top up drinks and snack items for sale.
• Serve hot drinks from coffee machine.
• Record cash & card sales through simple EPOS till (electronic point of sale), training given.
• Replenish buffet items during the day.
• Cashing up & reconcilling end of day totals.

They are looking for volunteers who can spare time on a Sunday and/or some Bank Holidays during the running season April to Oct and the Santa Specials in December.

Rostered shift patterns negotiable, with minimum of 4 hour shift.

Transport essential as this is a rural location near Chapel Brampton.

No lone worker working required.

Skills

• Friendly, helpful personality, enthusiasm & a smile essential.

• Awareness of good food hygiene standards.

• Attention to detail regarding giving change & logging sales accurately.

• Some previous experience of customer facing service preferred, but not essential.

• Able to work as a team with other buffet staff.

When do I need to be available?

Availability Details

Sundays, Special Event days and some Bank Holidays during the running season April to Oct and the Santa Specials during Dec. Shifts negotiable with minimum of 4 hour shifts.
Not every Sunday is required, as there is a flexible rota system.
