Telephone Befriending Volunteers to Adult Carers

We are looking for volunteers to help us extend our Telephone Befriending Service to informal Carers - many are often quite isolated and vulnerable and would really benefit from having someone to talk to on a regular basis. This role can be done within the volunteer's own home - it can be very flexible and the hours would fit around both the Carer and the volunteer's availability. You would be part of a lively supportive team with training and induction provided.

Skills

Good communication skills, empathy and understanding required - particularly around Carer's issues and needs. Non-judgemental and ability to maintain boundaries. Training & support provided.
