Life Stories Volunteer
Posted for SERVE
By Become a Life Stories Volunteer (18+). Discover rich, diverse stories that inspire and educate.
• An exciting opportunity to engage with fascinating individuals.
• Make a real difference by supporting a unique local project.
• This can be in a group setting or a one-to-one home visit.
Bring your experience to help challenge digital exclusion. Our Life Stories Volunteers are trained to help champion the life stories digital platform.
You can help support and form positive one-to-one relationships with vulnerable adults aged 65+ who may be experiencing isolation and loneliness in their life.
Offering support and encouraging independence you will help people to feel less isolated socially and that their story has been heard. Volunteers and service users are matched, and this takes on board person-centred support including individual's interests, skills, and experiences.
If you have any questions about volunteering with SERVE or would like to have an informal chat about the role before you apply, please contact Cheryl Smith, Befriending Manager on 07764 560863
