Do you have some spare time and the interest to get involved in a Community Project in Long Buckby? If so, you may like to join a friendly and enthusiastic group of volunteers!

Buckby Library & Hub is an established community run Charity providing services and activities to the Northamptonshire village of Long Buckby and its surrounding villages.

We are a friendly team who are always looking for new people to get involved to keep our services available for everyone to enjoy.

You can support us in a number of ways,  and as well as supporting the community hub, it's a great way to keep busy, learn some new skills and meet new people.

There are lots of activities available where you can support , for example:

• Helping the book lending “library” arm of our community managed library & hub 
• Helping with refreshments during a morning, 10am to 12pm
• Delivering Rhyme time sessions and school holiday activities for young ones
• Organising and/or assisting with fundraising events
• Helping with the upkeep (gardening) of our outdoor spaces
• Being part of our library management committees, project development teams
• Becoming a Trustee to help develop and secure our future Finance
• Charity admin support
• Communications lead

When do I need to be available?

Start Date: 15/07/2025

End Date: 14/07/2026

Availability Details

We usually work in either a morning or an afternoon shifts. Morning library shifts are 3 hours long, refreshments shifts are 2 hours long. Afternoon shifts are 2.5 hours long. We prefer volunteers to be able to commit to one set shift a week but we are very flexible so this is not a must.
