Are you a keen gardener? Do you enjoy growing vegetables? Would you like to work alongside individuals to share your knowledge of growing? If you have two hours to spare on a Wednesday morning we would love you to join our team and help us at the Community Allotment at Weston Favell.
Re:store Allotment is a volunteer led project, that seeks to help individuals to grow skills and independence through growing fruit and vegetables to help. It aims to tackle poverty through building skills, community and confidence. Participants are invited for a 4 week course, to learn how to sow, grow and harvest edible plants, and welcomes complete beginners through to those with green fingers.
Skills
Keen gardener and some basic knowledge of gardening Enjoy growing vegetables Physically able to manage digging and weeding Experience working on an allotment would be wonderful but not essential Enjoy being in the outdoors Comfortable chatting to others and sharing your knowledge of gardening to beginners Can work in a team
