Admin Volunteer

Posted for Grassroots Wellbeing

Grassroots Wellbeing CIC is offering an exciting work experience opportunity for a motivated young person seeking real‑world office experience while supporting projects that improve health, wellbeing, and community connections. Working alongside our CEO, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in office administration and project support, including: Researching potential organisations and community partners. - Managing and responding to emails. - Organising digital files using Google Drive. - Learning how to use a professional CRM system (Jane App). - Helping to create reports and project documents. - Supporting the day‑to‑day running of a growing Community Interest Company. This role will strengthen our day‑to‑day operations, helping us stay organised, respond promptly to enquiries, and keep our project records up to date. By supporting administration and partner research, you’ll enable Grassroots Wellbeing CIC to run wellbeing projects more smoothly and reach more children, young people, and families across Northamptonshire and beyond. Our ideal volunteer is a motivated young person who is enthusiastic about learning how a community organisation works and is comfortable working in an office environment. They should be a good communicator, both verbally and in writing, and able to respond to emails and messages in a clear, professional way. We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and happy to take responsibility for keeping digital files and information up to date. Confidence using IT and digital tools (for example Google Workspace and basic spreadsheets) is important; any experience of using databases or CRM systems is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided. The volunteer should be able to use their initiative, manage simple tasks independently once shown what to do, and ask for support when needed. A positive team player, with an interest in helping people and making a difference in their community, will really thrive in this role. Hybrid working: the volunteer can work remotely for some tasks, but there will be times they need to be on site at least one day per week for meetings, planning, and support. We are happy to discuss a preferred working pattern and to be flexible around the volunteer’s availability. Applications should be submitted with a CV and any supporting links such as LinkedIn or a portfolio. Tell us a little about your interest in the role, your relevant skills or experience, and why you would like to volunteer with Grassroots Wellbeing CIC. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an informal chat, either online or in person, and we will aim to respond within 1–2 weeks after the closing date.
