Opportunities with Independent Visitor Service – Children’s Rights Service – Northamptonshire Children’s Trust
Along with running the Independent Visitors Service, Children's Rights also provide activities, such as a drama group, and children's Rights members group which looks at projects and activities that young people want to be involved with, plan and organise. Volunteers are recruited from the community, receive training and are matched with children who are referred to the service by social workers, carers, other professionals or by self-referral. Matches are made bearing in mind the child's wishes, interests, availability and skills of the volunteer. Volunteers receive supervision four times a year, on-going training and support as well as expenses for activities and travel.
