Skills
ESSENTIAL: Good communication skills: As a volunteer, you will be interacting with a lot of people, including festival-goers, other volunteers, and event organisers. It's essential to have good communication skills to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the festival runs smoothly.
Adaptability: Music festivals can be unpredictable, and plans can change at the last minute. Being adaptable and able to roll with the punches is an important skill for a festival volunteer to possess.
Problem-solving skills: When working at a music festival, unexpected problems can arise at any time. Having strong problem-solving skills can help you to address issues quickly and effectively.
Positive attitude: Volunteering at a music festival can be a lot of hard work, but it's also a lot of fun. Having a positive attitude and a willingness to help out wherever needed can go a long way in making the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.
DESIRABLE: Physical stamina: Festivals can be physically demanding, and volunteers may be required to stand, walk, or lift heavy objects for extended periods. Good physical stamina is necessary to ensure that you can keep up with the demands of the role.
