Green Gyms were set up abut 25 years ago by 2 GP's who felt that giving people the opportunity to work outside doing conservation and environmental work, this would help people improve their health rather than taking pills, and this has proved very successful.

So if you love nature and the outdoors and want to make a difference, join our group of nature/conservation volunteers.  A great way to get fit and give something back to the community.  Come along and try a taster session.  There is always a variety of tasks and you can swop around and try different ones.  We also welcome corporate groups and companies wanting to carry out team building days.

No skills necessary, just enjoy working outside with a friendly group of people, an interest in conservation work useful.

Work parties held on alternate Thursdays, and on the second Sunday of each month.
