About the Role ​Dan’s Community Group is expanding back into Daventry! Having last served the town in 2021, we are relaunching our presence from the ground up and seeking a dedicated Daventry Volunteer Lead to head up our local activities. ​This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive local resident to build a thriving community hub. As Lead, you will serve as the local coordinator for Daventry, working alongside our established committee to rebuild our volunteer base and establish a visible presence in the town. ​What You Will Be Doing ​Lead Initial Core Activities: Organize and host regular community walks to encourage connection, and lead hands-on sign cleaning and street-sprucing sessions across Daventry. ​Coordinate Volunteers: Serve as the main point of contact for local volunteers on the ground, welcoming new members and managing event turnouts. ​Act as Local Representative: Represent Dan’s Community Group within the Daventry community, helping identify local areas that need attention. ​Shape Future Growth: As the volunteer base grows, help plan and expand our local projects into wider environmental, tidy-up, and community-building initiatives.

Skills

Community Leadership & Coordination: Ability to organize small outdoor group events, welcome new volunteers, and keep activities running smoothly. ​Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Friendly, approachable, and clear when delivering updates or chatting with local residents. ​Self-Motivation & Initiative: Comfortable taking ownership of a local branch and starting projects from scratch with remote committee support. ​Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Daventry’s neighborhoods, footpaths, and public spaces. ​Passion for Environment & Community: A genuine interest in local maintenance, civic pride, and encouraging healthy outdoor activit
