Transformational Grants from Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust
Funding to support long-term, systemic change for Armed Forces personnel and families.
The Covenant Fund Trust has launched a new, highly specialised fund aimed at addressing specific issues for targeted groups of people within Armed Forces communities in the UK.
Five to seven grants of up to £300,000 will be made, for programmes of work which will last five to seven years and sustain their impacts beyond this timeframe.
Beneficiaries of the fund could include:
- Veterans from LGBT+ communities.
- Female veterans.
- Armed Forces families from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities.
- Veterans with a specific unmet mental health need, such as gambling addiction.
- Armed Forces families where children have special educational needs, and the families are not currently able to access the support they need.
Charities in the UK that have been registered for at least three years are eligible to apply, providing they can demonstrate clear evidence of working with the community that the project seeks to serve.
Partnership working is encouraged for this fund, particularly between Armed Forces charities and specialist services who can bring expertise and experience to the project.
Projects should be national in focus, but those concerning only one of the four UK countries may be considered where a strong case is made.
The deadline to apply is 9am on 12 September 2022.
