The Hedley Foundation
The Hedley Foundation supports small UK registered charities operating across the spectrum of social need, seeking to help and improve the quality of life of people in the UK, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
They make grants up to £5,000 to registered charities for the benefit of:
- young people (particularly through sport, adventurous activities, education, the arts, training or sustainable employment)
- disabled people of all ages (including physical and mental disabilities, sensory impairment and learning difficulties)
- elderly people and terminally ill
- otherwise disadvantaged people and their carers (including homeless people, ex-offenders and those about to leave custody)
Headley Foundation prefers specific projects, including both capital and delivery. They will not fund core salaries, building construction, general running costs, transport, financial deficits or overseas projects.
The Foundation makes around 300 grants to organisations per year.
