Rosa Invites Applications to New Justice and Equality Fund

Rosa’s new grants programme includes three different funds aimed at tackling the culture of harassment, abuse and impunity in the UK.

The Justice and Equality Fund is managed by Rosa, a registered charity that supports initiatives that benefit women and girls in the UK, with funding coming from donations given by individuals.

The following two programmes are currently open for applications:

  • The Advice and Support programme will invest up to £1 million for work across the UK to increase access to support, signposting and expert legal advice for people who have experienced sexual harassment and abuse. Specialist organisations providing emotional support to survivors can also apply. Grants of between £25,000 and £200,000 are available.
  • The Changing the Conversation programme will offer development grants to eligible organisations to develop a strategic communications network that aims to build the capacity of organisations already working to raise awareness of the impact of harassment and abuse, challenge the current culture of impunity and to prevent both from happening in the first instance. The fund is allocating £250,000 for this work in year one and expects to support expanded communications capacity in up to eight specialist organisations.

The third programme, Now’s the Time, will open on 3 August for applications of between £5,000 to £25,000 and on 24 September for larger grants.

The deadline for applications is 30 July 2018.
