Quarter of a million pound grant for Silverstone Experience
The Silverstone Experience has received a £250,000 grant to help mitigate the cost of setting up Covid-19 measures and to allow the attraction to remain open over the winter.
The museum, dedicated to the history of British motor racing, was forced to close for 17 weeks during the lockdown, and was faced with high costs to introduce Covid-secure measures so it could return in July.
Now, the museum has been granted a share of £50m of emergency funding by the National Lottery Heritage Fund set up to help the UK’s heritage sector stay afloat despite the costs of Covid-secure measures.
