Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport (NFDS) Fund
The Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport Fund is a bursary scheme designed to support the county’s sports clubs, groups and non-profit organisations. The fund has been set up by the Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport with the aim of increasing the number of disabled people involved in all aspects of sport, recreation and physical activity within Northamptonshire. Northamptonshire Community Foundation administers the fund.

Applications are accepted from constituted sports clubs, groups and not-for-profit organisations based in Northamptonshire.
Organisations must meet the following requirements:
- Be a locally managed VCSE organisation such as a charity, constituted community group, social enterprise such as a community interest company (CIC), or a company limited by guarantee with charitable aims.
- Be based in Northamptonshire.
- Have a set of written rules or constitution that the group adheres to that contains a dissolution clause.
- Have a child protection policy and vulnerable people’s policy in place.
- Have an Equality or Equity and Diversity policy.
Applicants must have people volunteering to help with their activities who are not on their management committee. Preference will go to applicants who can show that people with disabilities make up their workforce.
