Music Education Grants for Schools
Schools in the UK and Republic of Ireland can apply for grants of up to £1,000 to support music education through the purchase or upgrade of musical instruments and equipment. The funding is provided by the Universal Music UK Sound Foundation, which focuses on improving access to music for young people.
Applications are assessed by trustees, with funding awards now being made three times per year in September, January and April. To be eligible, schools must teach the national curriculum. Each school must apply individually.
Previously successful applicants must wait two years before reapplying. Unsuccessful applicants may apply again after one year.
The deadline for applications for September funding awards is 25 June 2025 (13:00).
