Mick George Community Fund

Grants are available to voluntary and community organisations for community projects in proximity to a Mick George Landfill site across the East Midlands and Anglian regions.

Funding is available for local capital improvement works to public amenity projects in eligible areas surrounding the Mick George Landfill Sites.

Applications will be accepted from the following:

Voluntary organisations.
Community groups and associations.
Sports clubs (note exclusion criteria regarding membership restrictions),.
Local and national charities.
Parish, community or town councils.
Local Authorities.
Social Enterprises and Community Interest Companies (CICs) – must have a minimum of three unrelated Directors.

Grants are available for capital improvement works to public amenity projects.

Examples include the following:

Village halls.
Village greens.
Public playgrounds.
Sports fields and facilities.
Nature reserves.
Community centres.
Cycle paths.
Country parks.

The next deadlines are as follows:

5 March 2025 (decisions are expected to be communicated by early May 2025).
29 August 2025 (decisions are expected to be communicated by the end of October 2025).
