The Market Harborough Building Society Charitable Foundation was created in 1999 to support local communities in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. It operates independently of the Building Society although almost all of the charity’s money comes from the Society.
Grants are to be used for capital costs such as acquiring or upgrading physical assets. This could include buildings, fixtures and fittings, machinery, furniture and other equipment.
The Foundation will also consider applications for investment in people for organisational development (through training/development of staff) or developing skills in the community.
Applications can be made at any time for consideration at the next trustee meeting.
Four meetings are held annually.
