Diversity Worker
Northamptonshire Carers is a local charity which next year celebrates it is 30th anniversary. We provide a range of services to unpaid carers and those with care needs. We are a trusted service provider and flexible employer. You will be joining a creative and supportive team.
We are currently recruiting a Diversity Worker. This is an exciting new post that allows the right candidate to shape and develop our services.
The post holder will link up with Ethnic Minority, LGBTQ+ and Traveller Communities to facilitate them to receive specialist support from ourselves and other services. To identify those who have the responsibility of looking after others as their unpaid informal Carer. The post holder will need to develop ways for people from these communities to access our services. Working in collaboration with our Ethnic Minority Carer Lead and our Project Manager they need to organise, operate activities and/or groups which reflect and are of interest to the needs of these little heard Carers. By working with existing community groups, we aim to develop a network of support for Carers across all communities that are confident in reaching out for support.
