Job opportunity – Northamptonshire ACRE

A Rural Wellbeing Fieldworker (28 hours)

Fixed term post to end March 2019

Salary £18,570 pro rata

Plus contributory pension.

This is a fixed term post until the end of March 2019 for our Rural Wellbeing Service funded by the Big Lottery. The post is for 28 hours a week, reporting to the Chief Executive. Based in Northampton and working across the rural areas of the county.

The role involves visiting rural communities across Northamptonshire with our Lottery funded mobile Wellbeing unit, delivering advice/support to older people and signposting them to additional services where required. You will also support rural communities to implement a network of Good Neighbour Schemes to continue the delivery of advice and support to older people within their community and help them develop new services where identified.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative individual who has a strong knowledge of community development and rural issues. An understanding of the role of the voluntary sector and experience of partnership working is essential. Experience of project delivery and good communication skills are required.
