HMRC Grant Funding 2019-2020 Opens for UK
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has launched a £1.6 million grant programme which is available to voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations in the UK.
VCS organisations with an income that exceeds £40,000 a year and that provide advice and support to HMRC customers who need extra help understanding and complying with their tax obligations can apply now for funding that covers 2019 to 2020.
Grants will range from £10,000 to £450,000 with a maximum threshold set at 50% of the organisation’s turnover (last audited accounts).
Organisations must be able to help HMRC customers that are hard to reach and who cannot or will not interact directly with HMRC either due to culture, language, trust, or geography.
The funding is for bids that include one or more of the following activities:
- Advice and support.
- Digital inclusion.
- Specialist support and referrals.
Applicants must have the infrastructure and capability to handle in the region of 700 referrals per year and would be responsible for bringing individual cases to conclusion.
