Groundwork Northamptonshire are looking for new Trustees to join their Board
We are a community focussed Charity working in Northamptonshire, prioritising projects which celebrate Community Voice and Choice, Climate Change, The Natural Environment, Young People and Creativity.
We want to refresh our Board to make sure it’s fit for purpose and we are looking for people to volunteer time to support us in our development, giving oversight and scrutiny to ensure that our governance and strategy are as good as they can be?
Supporting with ideas and energy around funding and resources to support the work we do, listening and reaching out to those who we provide support for and being a community champion.
We are particularly looking for you to bring skills and experience with you, which could be about people (HR), legal, business, project and financial management, or the environment, community development, arts, culture and youth work. We really value ‘lived experience’ and would love to reach people we have supported through our projects to join our Board, to ensure that user’s voice is represented.
It’s really important that you are passionate about what we do and want to help make a difference to everyone we work with. Your enthusiasm and energy to get on board with our Charity are essential.
Our Board is underrepresented in terms of age, ethnicity and diversity, women and lived experience and we are interested in geography across the county.
Commitment in a month is anticipated to be a minimum 4 hours, with the potential to be part of sub groups and bring on areas of interest.
As a Charity in Northamptonshire we deliver amazing projects which make a difference to people’s lives everyday – Throughout Covid and with the Climate Emergency as prevalent as ever our role in supporting communities is crucial.
