Greggs Foundation – Environmental Grants
The Greggs Foundation (formerly Greggs Trust) was established in 1987 by the former Chairman of Greggs plc, Ian Gregg, and is a registered charity. The Foundation’s aim is to put something back into the communities where there are Greggs shops and where customers and employees live.
In 2016, the Foundation launched the Environmental Grants Programme funded by the 5p levy on carrier bags donated to us by Greggs plc. Over the last two years, this has enabled it to fund hundreds of ‘fantastic’ projects which aim to improve the environment and also benefit the wider community.
In 2019, the Foundation plans to use the funds to deliver larger nationwide projects with some of its key partners to make a greater impact on both the environment and the communities in which Greggs operate.
This is the final round of the programme.
Applications will be accepted from organisations that have ideas to improve local areas so that it can improve people’s lives. The programme aims to deliver demonstrable improvements to the environment, and will also fund educational projects to help people learn about their impact on the world around them.
Round 3, the final round of funding under this Programme, will close to applications on 28 September 2018.
