GEM Road Safety Charity grants

We welcome applications from registered charities, road safety organisations, universities and groups with a clearly defined and well-planned project. We look for all of the following characteristics in the organisations and projects that we fund:

Awareness of the bigger picture
Sector knowledge and expertise
Commitment to sharing and learning
A proven track record
Direct benefits to a particular group (for example: vulnerable road users, older drivers)

We aim to contribute to improving the safety of all road users by making grants of up to £10,000 for innovative road safety projects.

All applications are assessed by our Trustees and each is taken on its own merit. It is unlikely that they will consider applications that seek to extend core funding or those previously funded by a statutory agency. All applications should include a plan, timeline and proposed budget for the project.
