Funding for Youth Projects that Celebrate UK’s Native Wildflower and Fungi
Grants for young people in the UK to deliver a creative project that celebrates UK native wildflowers and fungi in exciting and engaging ways.
The Grow Wild Youth Project funding scheme is a youth-led process for people aged 14-25 to deliver a creative project that engages their community, inspired by UK native wildflowers and fungi.
Grants of up to £500 are available for projects that are completed within five months of the receipt of the grant and no later than 25 October 2019.
The funding can be used for a wide range of creative projects that celebrate UK native wildflowers and fungi in exciting and engaging ways. There is particular interest in projects inspired by fungi for this round.
The funding could be used for materials or equipment, promotional information, refreshments, venue hire or workshops.
Previous projects have included a wide range of activities from sculptures, film, embroidery, paintings and poetry to ariel silk performances and even a steel band.
Applications will be accepted from young people aged 14 to 25 years old resident in the UK.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have a great project idea.
- Find a supporting organisation, such as a school, university, youth club or a local community group, to help them deliver the project.
Supporting organisations must be an established and relevant organisation that is charitable in purpose or not-for-profit, in particular:
- Voluntary, youth or community group.
- Education body (excluding primary schools)
- Arts charity
- Local Authority or other council body
- Health Authority
This is the final submission date for funding applications in the 2018/19 funding round.
The deadline for applications is 1 April 2019 (midday).
