FREE Energy Advice Centre to Visit Riverside Resource Centre

Looking for ways to make your home more energy efficient and save money on your energy bills?

YES Energy Solutions and Cadent are on a mission to provide free energy efficiency advice to communities across the country. As part of this, they have launched MAC – the Mobile Advice Centre, a 3.5-tonne bespoke mobile advice van.

From Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th October, MAC will be visiting the Riverside Resource Centre, offering Towcester residents free, confidential energy advice.

There’s no appointment necessary – simply come along and speak to the friendly team in a private environment during the following times:

Tuesday 13 October: 10am–12pm
Wednesday 14 October: 3.30pm–5.30pm
Thursday 15 October: 8.30am–12pm
Friday 16 October: 10am–12pm

What support is available?

As well as free, confidential energy efficiency advice, residents may be able to access:

Free Energy Advice Packs, including draught excluder tape, a window insulation kit, radiator bleeding key and other useful items to help reduce energy bills and improve energy efficiency at home.
Free carbon monoxide (CO) alarms for eligible residents.
Free referrals to Cadent’s Services Beyond the Meter scheme, which can help eligible homeowners have gas appliances serviced free of charge.
Free access to YES Energy Solutions’ personalised National Support Network website, providing signposting to other free and confidential organisations offering specialist support.
Advice about the Priority Services Register, including support to sign up if eligible.
Free Heat the Person Packs for residents with health conditions that are made worse by the cold. Packs include items such as a blanket, hot water bottle and radiator reflector to help residents stay warm and reduce energy use, subject to eligibility.
