Ford Britain Trust
Grants are available to not-for-profit organisations and schools for projects that benefit local communities in Great Britain with preference given to Essex, including East London, Southampton, Daventry, Manchester, Liverpool, and Bridgend (South Wales).
The Ford Britain Trust was created for the advancement of education and other charitable purposes beneficial to the community.
The funding is intended to support projects which benefit the local community and environment, children and young people, mainstream schools and education, special needs education and people with disabilities.
Projects can take place anywhere in Great Britain; however, locations near Ford Motor Company Limited / FCE Bank plc UK operations are given a higher weighting:
- Dagenham, Warley and Dunton in Essex
- Southampton
- Daventry
- Manchester and Halewood
- Bridgend, South Wale
The funding is intended to support the following activities:
- Work that has clear benefits to the local community/environment
- Work with young people/children
- Education/schools (mainstream)
- Special education needs
- People with disabilities
The grants can be used for the following purposes:
- Contributions to capital projects (eg, refurbishments)
- Capital expenditure items (eg furniture/equipment/computers)
- Contributions towards the purchase of new Ford vehicles (maximum grant £3,000)
Applications for Small Grants are open until 30 June 2023, for review in July 2023.
Applications for Large Grants are open until 31 July 2023, for review in September/October 2023.
