Final Year of Funding for Supporting Grassroots Live Music
Groups across England have until the end of the 2022/23 financial year on 31 March 2023 to apply for this Time Limited Priority.
The National Lottery Project Grants programme is Arts Council England’s open-access programme for arts, museums and libraries projects.
Supporting Grassroots Live Music forms part of the wider Project Grants programme with its own ring-fenced budget of £1.5 million in 2022/23.
Grants of £1,000 to £40,000 are on offer for projects lasting up to three years, providing applicants can provide at least 10% of the total costs in match funding.
The funding is intended to help grassroots music venues across England deliver and develop their work. Examples of eligible projects include:
- Artistic programming and audience development.
- Developing a venue’s resilience and sustainability.
- Equipment purchases and small capital works.
Applications will be accepted from organisations whose main function is to host and/or promote live music events in venues. Usually, this will be venues and promoters (or groups of venues and/or promoters). The fund will support venues providing live music across the full spectrum of contemporary popular music genres.
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until 31 March 2023.
