Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme
This distributes payments from energy companies who may have breached rules. The funds can pay for projects offering:
- Support for energy customers in vulnerable situations
- Innovative products and services
Grants are for a minimum of £20,000, and in the last round went above £300,000, though this can vary according to the level of funds available.
Organisations must first complete a simple online information form to check eligibility and register for the scheme. They must be registered charities.
The amount of funding available through the scheme varies throughout the year and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis in October, January, April and July.
When funds become available, charities registered with the scheme will be notified to use their online account to apply for funds, and informed of any additional priorities or limits for that funding round.
