Do you know of a budding young environmentalist or young filmmaker?

The Rotary Club of Towcester is committed to offering young people opportunities to unlock their potential, develop their skills and broaden their horizons. Therefore, they have recently launched two brand new competitions – Young Environmentalist and Young Filmmaker. There are cash prizes for those who place first and second, whilst the winners of each age category will go on to compete at district level, and potentially even nationally (similarly to previous participants in other youth competitions).

Young Environmentalist

A competition for all age groups from 7 to 17, in which entrants will devise and undertake an environmentally friendly project in order to minimise waste. Group projects will be permitted (age dependent). There are cash prizes for first and second placed projects.

Young Filmmaker

A competition for all age groups from 7 to 17, which consists of creating a film lasting up to five minutes based upon the theme of “Through My Eyes”. Recordings filmed on a mobile phone will be accepted.
