Cyber Security – Small Charity Guide
Like businesses, charities are increasingly reliant on IT and technology and are falling victim to a range of malicious cyber activity. Losing access to this technology, having funds stolen or suffering a data breach through a cyber attack can be devastating, both financially and reputationally.
Following the advice in the Cyber Security: Small Charity Guide will significantly increase your protection from the most common types of cyber crime.
The five topics covered in the guidance are easy to understand, and are free or cost little to implement. This guide demonstrates how easy it can be to protect your charity’s data, assets, and reputation.
If you believe that you or your charity has been the victim of online fraud, scams or extortion you should report this through the Action Fraud website. You should also report it as a serious incident to the Charity Commission via RSI@charitycommission.gsi.gov.uk.
