Coronavirus diary project

The Northamptonshire Archives and Heritage Service has launched a project, alongside Northampton Museum and Art Gallery, to collect, preserve and make available the county’s memory of the national and regional emergency of Covid-19.

They are looking to collect material which reflects the effect Coronavirus has had on people’s lives, work, and their local communities, businesses or organisations. This has mainly taken the form of diaries or retrospective accounts but we’re also taking photographs, videos, and drawings, and arranging oral history interviews for once the current measures subside.

They are keen to hear from voluntary and community organisations. Would someone from your organisation be willing to write an account or speak to someone about their, organisation’s, experiences in the past few months? Or perhaps if you have collected photographs or produced leaflets or other material for the community, they could be preserved for posterity.

If you are interested in potentially taking part in this project, or have any questions, please get in touch.
