Comic Relief – Tech vs Abuse

Comic Relief created the Tech vs Abuse fund in 2017. It was a small targeted fund for technological innovation and creative digital solutions, to improve the safety of women and girls affected by domestic abuse. The first round was funded jointly through the Tampon Tax Fund, a partnership between Comic Relief and HM Government, and the Big Lottery Fund.

The second and current round is jointly funded by the Comic Relief, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and The Clothworkers’ Foundation, with £600,000 in grant funding.

The funding aims to support eligible non-profit organisations committed to improving their digital services to enable people to recognise abuse sooner, find the right information at the right time, access real-time services, stay safe and rebuild their lives.

The funding is for early stages of development.

The deadline for proposals is 4 July 2019.
