Christmas Shopping events in Towcester
To encourage people into town for the important Christmas shopping season, West Northamptonshire Council is organising some music and activities in town. There will be busker (style) musicians to play some festive tunes and an Elf Workshop Children’s activity stall etc. There might also be a Children’s Choir on one of the days.
There will be opportunities for voluntary groups and charities to get involved to promote their work and/or fundraise.
There are potentially two days on which events are being planned. The first is Sunday 24th November, to make the most of people in town for the Mill Brewery’s Christmas fayre. There will also be activities planned for Saturday 7th December, which is small business Saturday.
The activities would be focused on Sponne Shopping Centre and Whittons Lane pedestrian areas, with currently an approximate time of 11am-2pm for 7th Dec. Times to be confirmed for 24th November.
If your organisation or charity would be interested in hosting a stall or activity in these areas on either/both days, please do get in touch. As a community event, there is no need for street trading license within these areas, but you would need to bring table/gazebo etc. Your group might want to sell gifts, hold a tombola, do face painting for example, to raise funds for yourselves or a charity or you might just want to promote what you do to raise awareness.
