Care & Repair Northamptonshire

Care & Repair Northamptonshire is charitable home improvement agency with many years’ experience as a trusted trader. We employ our own skilled handyman technicians who are all DBS checked, wear uniform, carry ID and drive company vehicles. We provide a comprehensive range of works to support householders across the county to remain safe, warm and well at home, enabling independent living.

Our services are available to both self-funders and those who may need funded support (subject to funding availability and eligibility).

We have many funded schemes currently available in West Northamptonshire for vulnerable householders including:

Home safety and energy assessment
Gas Safety scheme – checks, servicing, boiler repairs, small appliances
Electrical Safety scheme – electrical safety checks, sockets, lighting, showers, switches
Home energy and heating improvements – includes small measures (draught exclusion, LED lighting, radiator foils) and larger measures (TRVS, thermostats, heating improvements, window and door repairs, window and door replacement), dealing with mould
Essential home repairs and improvements – home security improvements, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, white goods, taps, toilets, showers, plumbing works, putting up curtain rails and blinds
Minor adaptations to support mobility, including grab rails, stair rails, shower seats, half steps and keysafes
South Northants Home Safe – comprehensive range of repairs and adaptations, up to £5,000 (for South Northamptonshire only)

For those who are self-funding we can also offer a range of larger works including kitchen and bathroom installations, wetrooms, fencing, etc.
