Boosting Recycling: Funding Opportunity for Public Spaces
Funding is available to support projects in Great Britain to introduce or improve recycling points in high footfall public spaces.
In 2024, the Hubbub UK #InTheLoop Grant Fund is seeking to award up to two projects a £12,500 grant to invest in, and boost, recycling facilities. Projects will also receive ongoing light-touch support from Hubbub, as well as support from an external measurement partner and £1,000 to boost their campaign communications.
The funding is intended to enable the introduction, or improvement or expansion, of recycling in public spaces using the #InTheLoop toolkit, with a particular focus on the recycling of plastic bottles and cans. It is anticipated that the majority of applications will be from local authorities, business improvement districts, shopping centres, major property owners and transport hubs; and it is expected that most of the funding (75%) will go towards to the purchase of infrastructure on new recycling bins or improvements to old bins.
Supported projects will start from Spring 2024, with a targeted launch date of July 2024.
The deadline for applications is 1 March 2024 (15:00 GMT).
