Armed Forces Day – Local events
The Ministry of Defence offers match-funded grants of up to £10,000 to support Armed Forces Day events across the UK that thank and celebrate serving personnel, veterans, cadets and their families.
Funding can cover up to half of your total event costs and be used for practical essentials such as road closures, decorations, flags and banners, event promotion, security and first aid, insurance, and PA/communications systems.
Local councils, voluntary and community groups, schools, ex-service organisations and individuals can apply, but you must first register your event on the Armed Forces Day website; once approved, you’ll receive a link to the online grant application form.
