William and Jane Morris Fund (Church Conservation Grants)
The Morris Fund was formed in 1939 following the death of May Morris, the younger daughter of William and Jane Morris. In accordance with May’s will, the Fund only supports work carried out under the principles of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, which was founded by her father.
The William and Jane Morris Fund is administered by the Society of Antiquaries of London.
The funding is for places of worship in the UK and will support churches, chapels and other places of worship undertaking restoration projects.
Grants are available to churches, chapels and other places of worship in the UK for the conservation of decorative features and monuments.
The aim of the fund is to conserve and maintain decorative or non-structural features inside a church, chapel or any other place of worship in the UK.
Grants between £500 and £5,000 are available for up to one year.
The current deadline for applications is 31st August 2025
