Anchor Community Connection Fund – Northamptonshire

Grants are available for food-based projects that make a positive difference to communities in Northamptonshire.

The Anchor Community Connection Fund has been established to support local organisations, causes or programmes which bring people together to share food and strengthen community connections.

Applications are accepted from small, locally managed, voluntary, community or self-help groups in Northamptonshire, including:

  • Charities
  • CIOs
  • Constituted community groups
  • Companies limited by guarantee
  • CICs with a minimum of two unrelated directors

he programme’s main objective is to make a positive difference to UK community connections through food. Therefore, eligible projects must be focused on food-based activity. Project delivery, core costs, equipment or capital costs are eligible.

Examples of eligible projects include:

  • Drop-in sessions for vulnerable communities where meals or food parcels are available.
  • Workshops and training to support people learn about cooking.
  • Updating kitchen facilities to support the running of community cafes.
  • Sessions for people to share and develop skills for growing fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs.

Applications can be made at any time until the fund closes on 29 March 2024 or the fund is fully allocated.
