Community Health Champion Volunteer Coordinator
Voluntary Impact Northampton has been contracted by West Northants Council to provide a Community Health Champion programme for West Northamptonshire. The Community Health Champion volunteers shall promote healthy lifestyles and have a focus on sharing information on health-related matters, including long-term health conditions, and signpost to the services and support available.
We are looking to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator to manage, coordinate, and support the team of Community Health Champions, and provide monitoring and reporting information to VIN and West Northants Council. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the recruitment process of Community Health Champions from local communities
- Coordinate the training of Community Health Champions, including development of a training package
- Creating and coordinating the information that is shared with Community Health Champions; this information will be on a range of health and wellbeing topics to be agreed with the Council.
Applicants should have experience of recruiting and managing volunteers, good communication skills, and be confident in working with and engaging a broad range of people and organisations. This is a full-time role until 7th January 2026.
