South Northamptonshire Volunteer Awards – 6th June
It has been a tough few years for everyone, which would have been a whole lot more difficult without all the good folk in Northamptonshire who stepped up to do their bit during the pandemic. This got us thinking about a special way to say thank you, not just to our covid volunteers but to all the wonderful people who keep our communities the exciting vibrant and caring places they are.
So…. this year we are planning our inaugural Volunteer Awards.
The Award ceremony will take place on 6th June, during the annual volunteers’ week celebrations and will be an evening of presentations, performances from local artists, raffles and refreshments.
A community artist will be working with 2 local schools to create all the trophies for the awards and we will be looking for nominations for our 12 categories and a special volunteer to sit on our judging panel.
Nominations are now closed. We have been very impressed by the number and quality of the nominations we have received. Many really outstanding volunteers to consider.
The judging panel is all ready to go and will be looking through all the nominations in the next couple of weeks.
A special request for local business to get involved
We still have room for more sponsors. If you are a business that would like to get involved, please contact us.
A community artist will be working with 2 local schools to create trophies for 12 awards and we are looking for sponsors for these awards. The cost to sponsor an award will be £150.
For that contribution we will offer the following:
- A plaque with “sponsored by” and the organisation’s name on the trophy
- Your logo will be included on all publicity, our email bulletins and social media and on a banner at the ceremony
- You would be invited as our guest for the award ceremony and to present the trophy you sponsored
- Support to find volunteering opportunities for your staff away days
If your business would like to help us by sponsoring an award or has skills or people you think would help us ensure our event goes with a swing we’d love to hear from you!
We are very grateful to these businesses that have already signed up as sponsors. If your business would like to get involved, please get in touch.
