Al Madad Foundation

Funding to support the education of refugee and displaced children in the Middle East and Europe.

Registered charities will soon be able to apply for the Foundation’s next funding round. This call will focus on projects that specifically address innovative solutions to accessing formal education as well as employment-focused vocational training, answering specific needs and presenting realistic solutions for refugee and displaced children and youths.

There is a total funding pot of £100,000. Groups can apply for up to £100,000 over two years, but the Foundation may choose to give smaller grants to more than one organisation.

Groups must be working in an eligible country in the Middle East and Europe, a list of which can be found here.

The following will be given priority:

  • Projects that establish/refurbish/equip in-person schools.
  • Projects that take place in-person where possible, rather than through remote learning solutions.
  • Projects that are sustainable, or have sustainable elements, beyond the period of the Foundation’s involvement or which have a natural, defined end-point.
  • Projects in which staff are able to commit to regular contact with AMF in order to communicate progress.
  • Projects that have ‘built in’ methods of obtaining service-user feedback.

There will be an information webinar when the fund opens on 8 September 2022 at 11am (GMT).

The deadline to apply is 11pm (BST) on 4 October 2022.
