Opportunities with Happy@Home (Daventry Volunteer Centre)

The partnership will arrange events in the local community to make the community aware of the exisitence of the scheme and encourage individuals to volunteer their time to help. Information regarding partnership organisations will also be shared at these events. Volunteers will be assigned to a team in a geographical area. They will be given the necessary information and support to be able to provide help to local vulnerable and elderly identified through the partnership. Volunteers will be needed to act as \\\'befrienders\\\' to engage the local recipients in the scheme, and signpost them to appropriate activities and services. In addition others will be needed to support the team on publicity days by help with organisation of events, making and serving refreshments, and helping transport isolated people to the events.
