Volunteer Driver

To take elderly, frail or disabled patients to essential medical appointments. This could include hospital, doctor, optician and dental appointments. Most appointments are local but occasionally when a patient requires specialist assessment could include Cambridge, Birmingham and Leicester. Journeys are booked in advance with the office and requests offered to volunteer driver. This allows the volunteer to give as much or little time as they wish and choose to stay local or accept longer journeys. Volunteers use their own car but all mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile and any car parking charges will also be refunded.
Skills
No qualifications required but must have access to own car and enjoy meeting people.
