Towcester Museum are staffed and managed entirely by volunteers and they are essential for the future sustainability of the museum. In 2015 the museum were awarded "Best Volunteer Project" by the Northamptonshire Heritage Forum.
A NEW volunteer pack complete with training, 10% discount in the shop, a badge, volunteer meetings and a monthly e-newsletter is being introduced.
They are looking for an organised and innovative individual with excellent communication skills and proven experience in managing people to join the Board of Trustees.
The role involves; attending monthly Trustees meetings; managing recruitment of volunteers, organising the rotas, developing the volunteer programme, organising meetings, implementing a jobs list, and helping the Marketing Coordinator with the promotion of the volunteer scheme.
It is expected that Trustees be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours a month to the development of the museum.
