Search Team Supporter
Posted for Northamptonshire Search and Rescue
As a registered charity, the organisation is entirely self-funded and rely on grants and public donations to operate.
They welcome applications for search team supporters from people who do not necessarily want to join as an operational searcher, but would still like to be involved with the team.
They are looking for someone with a few hours to spare every month to help with fundraising activities. These could be searching/applying for grants, running a teddy tombola at a fete, making/selling cakes, or marshalling at an event. The list is as long and varied as your imagination is wide. All new ideas welcome to raise funds for the team and increase the public's awareness.
The role is primarily a fundraising one although if you wanted to come along to training sessions with the search team you would be more than welcome. They offer training in map reading, navigation and first aid should you so wish.
Imagination, enthusiasm & some experience of applying/searching for grants would be a bonus.
