Referral Order Panel Member
Posted for Northants Youth Offending Team
Participation in meetings between young offender and community panel, this will sometimes include the victim. Aimed at agreeing a contract bertween the young offender and the community to help 'put things right'. There are never less than 3 people on a panel.
Full training is given and a minimum commitment of 12 months is requested. Applicants must be over 18 as laid down by the Youth Justice Board/Home Office.
Flexibility and commitment are essential for this on going project. Meetings are usually held Monday to Friday from 9.30am - 6pm.
Must be a good listener and able to communicate, patience and empathy for all concerned and a desire to help youngg offenders/local community.
